Plastic component of an elastic plastic-heavy moulded pt., having 1.8 - 2.5 g/cc specific gravity and contg. 40 - 90 (65 - 75) wt.% fillers, is a polyurethane prepd. from polyethers, liquid at room temp., or liquid mixtures of polyethers and glycols, esp. polyethylene- and/or polypropylene glycols, pref. a liquid mixt. of polyether glycol of 400 - 2000 mol. wt. and glycol, and polyisocyanates, esp. diisocyanates. Pref. fillers are artificial BaSO4 (pearl white), powdered asbestos, slat, chalk, soot, bentonite, mica, Fe, Pb and/or Al. Moulded pts. may be coated or lined, e.g. with webs, foams, fabrics, or sprayed with lacquers, or may be of sandwich construction.
