Polyurethane material useful for making insulated automobile bodywork sheet metal, produced reacting polyisocyanate and polyol components in the presence of a heavy filler and a lamellar filler
Polyurethane material with a density of 1.1-1.8 g/cm3, produced by reacting a polyisocyanate component with a polyol component comprising a soft foam polyol with an oxyethylene content of more than 30 wt.% and a chain extender in the presence of a filler with a density of more than 3 g/cm3 and a lamellar filler, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) insulated automobile bodywork sheet metal comprising a layer of polyurethane material as above adhering to automobile bodywork sheet metal; (2) producing the insulated automobile bodywork sheet metal by spraying automobile bodywork sheet metal with the polyurethane material and hardening the material.
