A dosing device for fluit material limits the material flow out of a container to defined quantities. It has coarse and fine dose measurement devices and a fine separation element associated with the fine dosing device. The separation element moves at a speed much greater than that of the fine dosing measurement device. This ensures a uniform output flow even when the throughput is limited as a result of poor relative motion between the fine measurement device and the separator. Where the dosing devices are feed screws the separator is an agitator. The driving motor (6) is connected to a rotary splined member mounted above a lead screw drive (2) mounted between roller bearings.
