By "aluminium alcoholate" is meant a compound of the empirical formula Al(OR) 3 where R is an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms. By "polyoxo aluminium alkoxide" is meant the reaction product of the reaction between one mole of an aluminium alcoholate with two moles of water.
