Cutting and splicing films - using splicing press preventing release papers of adhesive strips from falling inside appts

Films are cut and specified by cutting to size two film ends in abutment with each other, removing the release papers from a self-adhesive strip, and covering both sides of the cut ends with the strip. Movement of splicing press components is controlled by slides (20, 23, 28) which are disposed in the upper and lower portions (1, 2) of the press and which are actuated by rigid control means (22) which are rotatably attached to the hinge eccentrically with respect to the hinge axis (0). Pref. attached to the control means at the upper portion is a coupling rod (25) for moving a slide (23) with a film cutter (24) and rotating a blade of the cutter about its axis.
