An electro-optic storage device having a transparent, ferroelectric ceramic plate, on pair of writing electrodes on opposite surfaces of the ferroelectric ceramic plate, respectively, and one pair of erasing electrodes on opposite edges, respectively of the ferroelectric ceramic plate, the writing electrodes each being a thermally sensitive transparent resistor layer. This device is capable of reversible image storage. The switching temperature of the thermally sensitive transparent resistor material is lower than the Curie temperature of the ferroelectric plate. An additional photosensitive layer may be included between one or both surfaces of the ferroelectric plate and the corresponding writing electrode(s).
