After a search code number is dialled by the calling subscriber (T1) through a connecting circuit (IVS), and the calling subscriber (T1) address is stored in a store of the paging device (PSE), the connecting circuit (IVS) is released by the calling subscriber (T1). When the called subscriber (T2) reports by dialling a corresponding code number, a connection to the calling subscriber (T1) is built-up by means of its stored address in order to put the two subscribers into telephonic communication. The connecting circuit (IVS) is connected to a signal processing system (W-BW) which in turn is connected to the store of the paying device.
