Language teaching system using tape recorders - which are wired in desks added to control unit connected through intermediate elements

The system has a number of tape recorders mounted in a desk and a control unit for current supply and l.f. transmission. A separate desk (1) is allocated to each tape recorder (6), in which it is removably mounted in a compartment (2) covered by at least a part of the desk top (4a). Connecting wires (17-19) pass through hollow desk supports (3) and end in a connecting element (9, 23), so that when a desk (1) connected to a control unit is connected to another desk, this desk is also connected to the control unit through the intermediate elements (9, 23).
