The base retaining system is for bench seats, rubbish bins, switchgear boxes, lamp standards, notice-boards, signposts, or similar objects to be fixed to the ground out of doors, with vertical supports. The base retainer comprises a bottom plate (2) with one or more carriers (4) fitted at right angles to its plane. This is shaped for connection to a support. The plate has one or more tie bolts (11) fastened to it, protruding from the plane of the plate on the side facing away from the carrier. The bolt may be screwed to the ground plate, with a nut (13). The carrier pref. protrude only 10-15 cm above the ground.
