The fault monitor, for power supply networks in mines, has all the units and circuits needed for monitoring and protection mounted on a support (1) provided with sockets (3-6) for the separate monitoring and protection units. A programmable plug connects together the units and circuits. The separate units may be for insulation monitoring, earth fault cutout, time relay, earth line monitoring and signalling. Selection switches are incorporated to test the units for correct functioning.
