Sectioned large pressure vessel - has axial and circumferential divisions welded up on site after road transport

The pressure vessel too large for road transportable sections connected on site. The vessel is tubular and is divided both along axial and along circumferential lines. In this way each section is in effect a curved plate. The axial dividing lines may be 180 deg. or 120 deg. or even only 90 deg. apart so that the sections can be readily nested together for transport. At the site the sections are connected e.g. by welding. Circumferential seams may be welded automatically and only the axial seams need be welded by hand.
