The pig feed supply system consists of a trough above which is a supply container whose outlet, which extends over the trough width is closed by a plate. The plate is held closed by spring force; and carries an operating plate (2) which extends over the complete trough w width and its bottom edge is spaced from the trough bottom (3) or the inclined back wall (4) in the closed position of the closing plate. The food can pass through this space. In the opened position, the closing plate (1) lies on the inclined trough back wall and there is a slit for fodder passage between the plates (1, 2).
