Bridge embankment structural pressure absorption - uses flat foundation units in bridge end sections, with central swivel bearing

For an embankment built up on both sides of a road track intersection, the structure esp. a bridge, has the pressure absorbed and distributed by foundation elements (10). Flat structural components (11) are each mounted in the area of two corresponding end sections (2, 3) of the structure. A single bearing (12) is provided in a central position on one of the components, as a swivel mounting. The second component (1) at least, incorporates two or more bearings. This provides a form of three-point bearing, providing for bank settlement without affecting bridge or traffic routes.
