Claims device for sealing a gap between shuttering components and adjacent completed parts of an edifice, especially between a ceiling shuttering and a wall, used in erection of concrete buildings. The seal comprises an at least partly elastic profiled strand which has a supporting 'leg' intended to engage the shuttering, and a head portion part of which is adapted to be forced against the completed part of the edifice. This head portion has an arcuate cross-section, with longitudinally extending profilling e.g. ribs or flutings. The seal is suitably made of stabilised, soft i.e. plasticised.
