Building component esp. for stair steps, pedestal slabs, base plates, etc., is composed of a concrete conglomerate contg. gravel and/or natural broken stones and fibres. The fibres are relatively short, high-tensile and are coated with a plastics suitably an epoxy resin. The fibres are glass or steel-fibres. They are 10-25, esp. 15 mm long. The claimed article may have a reinforcement consisting of epoxy-resin-impregnated glass-fibre-matting, embedded in it.
