The auto- or mobile crane has a telescopic boom which can pivot vertically and is supported by rams. A further support of the telescopic beam acts via a telescopic support whose foot is further from the boom swivel bearing than the piston. There is a boom support at each intial bending point. The telescopic supports have either a fixed hinge and/or there is a releasable fixing at the bottom ends.
