The relay may be of encapsulated type, or free-standing. The core of the excitation mounts an L-shaped yoke, on which an armature is povitally mounted. The yoke contains several spring contact sets whose switching springs are held in an armature support block (7) and whose contact spring pairs are held in a spring block in opposite directions. Each spring set is surrounded by a flexible, insulating sleeve (14), which extends between the spring mounting block (4) and the armature support block. The sleeve is pref. a suitable hose or tube section. The sleeve may be also formed by injection moulding and may be secured to the spring contact pair. It may match in shape and size the shape of the spring contact pair on which it may inserted.
