The flexural stress girder, esp. in crane girder form, is prestressed by elements generating flexural tension in the girder, and pressure tension in the longitudinal direction in a prestressed area. Pressure prestressing is used in the area subjected to pressure under the effect of an external load. It can have an initial curvature opposing the load-imposed bending line (4), being at least partially restored to a straight configuration by its prestressing. This is distinguished by high bend resistance, with insensitivity to oscillation.
