The stackable 10-bottle miniature crate is half the size of an oblong rectangular 20-bottle one, being particularly for standard 0.5 litre European bottles. Compared with a full-size crate, it is bisected in the transverse direction, and each lengthwise outer row of compartments (43, 45) holds four bottles. Between these rows is an inner one of three compartments (46, 47), these being offset from those in the outer row. The central compartment (46) is empty, and spanned by a handle (48), while there is one bottle in the compartment each side of the empty one.
