Automatic testing appts. for paths in data switching system - only tests paths having error-free power supply units

A data switching system has a programme-controlled central memory which is used by a number of incoming and outgoing data paths. Power supply units provide power to groups of data paths. Monitor units are connected to the power supply units through their inputs. A faulty power supply unit causes the monitor unit to send a control signal to the switching unit. This then automatically ensures that only those data paths are tested whose power supply units are error-free.
