Matrix for mass and heat transfer system - has corrugated plates and transverse walls ensuring uniform flow velocity profile

The plate matrix is used for mass and heat transfer as well as for separation of droplets. The matrix consists of a number of opposite arranged corrugated plates whose crests form crossing flow channels. This matrix ensures highly uniform velocity profile across the cross section of the plate matrix. The flow channels (3) have transverse walls (6) which contact the wave crests (4) of the adjacent plates (1) or leave gaps with them. This ensures with the flow channel section (7) adjacent plates at the same time three dimensional zig zag path flow. The transverse walls (6), with reference to the waveform of adjacent plates, are associated with every second wave crest (4).
