摘要

An analytic conduction solution is presented for the transient local and mean Gee-face temperatures of a flat plate heated by a uniform exponential heat source and cooled on both surfaces' by a fluid in slug flow. The effect of thermal capacity of the plate 1B included but the internal resistance and conduction along the length is neglected, numerical results are presented in tables and charts in tears of dimensionless arguments and a comparison is made with a sample of experimental data.nSince the solution is in closed form and numerically evaluated, it should be of value as a reference for testing approximate methods of analysis. That the latter Hill be necessary is illustrated by the comparison with experiment in which the effective heat transfer coefficient for this solution underestimates the experimental values by factors of 2 to 3.
