Between two layers formed by continuous bands or separate sheets of phenol kraft paper, a fibrous layer of raw pulp is bonded by an agent which can be hardened off. On the surface of one layer turned away from the fibrous material, a decorative layer is bonded similarly. The edges of the decorative layer may overlap and be folded under and bonded to the other outer surface. In addition an expanded foam layer may be incorporated between the decorative layer and the kraft paper layer. The laminate is well-suited for the mfr. of automobile body components such as roofs. It is lightweight and cheap to produce.
