Damping device for balance beam oscillations - has cylinder with piston, filled with damping medium, and bimetal element in by=pass channel

A vessel is filled with a damping medium into which a piston connected to the beam is immersed. A bimetal element compensates changes of the liquid viscosity due to temp. changes by changing the clear cross-section for the damping medium flow. The vessel (5) has a bypass channel (8) between its bottom and top parts. The bimetal element (11) changes the bypass channel cross-section, and when the flow velocity in the channel is high, it springily reduces the channel cross-section.
