Solar heating system collector panel - has triangular liq. circulating channels with rays reflected onto gradually sloping sides

The heat collector panel for a solar heating system uses an insulating layer (13) carrying two sheets (11, 12) which between them form channels (14) for circulating a heat exchange fluid. The outer sheet (11) has ridges with unequal sides which form triangular channels. Between the transparent laminated covering sheet (10) and the tops of these ridges are mounted curved reflectors (5) mounted at such an angle that part of the sun's ray can fall on the steeply sloping side of each ridge, and part of the rays is reflected onto the gradually sloping side. In a design with double glazing, the reflectors are mounted between the two panes of glass.
