Compsns. for suppressing gastric vagus activity - e.g. in gastric ulcer, contg. an antacid and L-tyrosine

摘要

New locally acting gastric sympathomimetic agent to diminish gastric vagus action is formed physiologically in situ from tyrosine in the presence of an antacid. The agent is administered in the form of sachets each contg. 10.0g iron magnesium silicate and 0.1g L-tyrosine. Used in the suppression of vagal stimulation in the treatment of gastric mucus lesions. Local suppression of the gastric vagus, without giving rise to extragastric symptoms such as tachycardia is achieved.
