Stereo picture record and replay system - uses time separated picture recording with optical axis displacement for one picture path

The recording and replaying is intended for stereo pictures which are not dedicated to the left or right viewing channels. The two pictures are separated by a time slot, and the system is applicable to either TV or cine films. The two objective lenses used for taking are displaced, but a system such as prismatic reflection is used to give one lens a virtual optical axis to the centre point of the picture area. Preferably the centre of the taken object and the optical axes of the displaced lenses lie on a common horizontal line. The rear lens axis in a virtual one, which can be offset by firm deflection.
