The connection method is applicable to circuit board assemblies mounted on the rotor of an electrical machine. Such boards may form part of a control system. The construction relieves the circuit board connection of centrifugal stress. An insulated base (1) with conductor strips (2) is mounted on the machine rotor. Machine to base connections are made at holes in the strip (2), e.g. by bolting. The base to circuit board (6) connection (4) is a flexible wire soldered to the base terminal (3) and circuit board terminal (5). The card is contained in a potted housing (7) supported by bolts (8). The centrifugal forces on the circuit card connector are thus minimal as no part of the machine connector interacts with the board.
