The flow monitor is built into the supply duct. It comprises a housing through which the water flows, containing a floating flow piston with permanent magnet, and a Reed contact for an electric circuit, in the drinking-water through-flow valve assembly. The flow monitor is built into a bypass duct to the water supply duct of smaller flow cross-section than the latter. The supply duct contains a return flow check, held under spring pressure, between the bypass branches, the closing pressure of this being greater than that of the flow piston.
