Prestressed concrete reinforcement stirrup unit - has transverse holders welded to vertical shanks

In the reinforcement stirrup retaining pieces for transverse members, with the stress members lying on these, are fastened to the vertical shanks of the stirrup. The retaining pieces are welded to the vertical shanks. They are pref. clamps, made from a rectangular steel plate, with a vertical arm welded to the stirrup vertical shank, and a horizontal arm incorporating accommodation for the transverse members. They may be stamped out of suitable plate. This obviates need for time-consuming height adjustment on site, and reduces production costs.
