The equipment generates periodic pressure impulses, having two or more valves (1, 2) whose first inputs are connected to a pressure source. The output of each valve is connected via a controllable pressure-delay device (4-7) to the control input of the other, and the impulses are derived from the output of one of the valves. The valve can be of the 3/2-way type and each delay device can comprise a throttle or baffle (10, 11) with a non-return valve (12, 13) connected in parallel with it.
