Nut on screw spindle in model vehicle control - is moved in opposite direction when motor direction reversed, and under pressure from discs on spindle

The control is for the movement pattern on model aeroplanes, boats, and similar, driven by an appropriate motor. On a shaft (3) connectable or connected to the motor shaft (1) is fitted a screw spindle (4) centrally. On the spindle (4) is a threaded nut (5) movable lengthways in either direction. At both ends of the shaft (3) coil springs (8, 9) are fitted and which press discs (12, 13) from both sides against the screw spindle (4). When the nut is moved in either direction or is retained in the free run position, and the direction of rotation of the motor is reversed, the nut (5) is then moved in the opposite direction.
