Dual paired rotor IC engine - has meshing cylindrical rotors for combustion and exhaust and identical pair for inlet and compression

The rotary combustion engine comprises two cylindrical rotors (3, 4) in cylindrical chambers. Each has a semi-cylindrical circumferential recess, the non-recessed portion of one rotor (4, 3) meshing with the recessed portion of the other rotor (3, 4) and vice versa as they rotate, to form chambers for combustion (6) and exhaust (7). Inlet and compression takes place in a pair of identical rotors rotating on common shafts about the same centre lines as the rotors. All rotors are contained in a common housing. Connections are provided to admit the compressed charge to the combustion chamber.
