The golf shoes have a bottom which extends from one end to the other on the same plane to form a sole and a heel in which the level of the heel relative to the sole does not change. The thickness of the bottom is slightly smaller at the level of the heel. The bottom carries projection such as metal studs. The inner part of the shoe has a convex portion for supporting the plantar arch (9) limited portions of the edges of the sole contain recesses forming bevels (10) which are preferably curved to allow the shoe to be pivoted relative to the ground. The shoes enable a novice to automatically acquire the correct stance.
