The apparatus converts different positions of an axle into electrical pulses varying proportionally with the axle position, mainly for weighing applications, using a moving core coil mechanism. Two coils and two cores are used with the cores having a fixed connection. The cores are placed in the magnetic field so that when one inductivity is increasing the other is decreasing. Diodes and zener diodes are used to short circuit the coil current after it has been switched off by transistion. The current rising via the different or equal inductances is used to switch a flip-flop via a threshold switch. The force applied by the measured weight is converted into a movement distance by a conventional mechanism and used to displace the cores.
