The compact heat exchanger consists of parallel tubes carrying coolant and exposed to the flow of the warn air in the machine. The tubes consist of heat pipes (20) whose first ends (19) pass out of the machine and are cooled and whose second ends lie inside the machine. The warm internal air flows along a meandering path around transverse walls (21). The heat pipes have fins to increase their surface area.
