The storage holder has two parts (1, 2) sliding w.r.t. one another by means of a guide. A locking device locks the parts in a selected relative position. Guide pieces (10) are located on the lateral ends of the two parts corresponding to the guide. The guide has at least one guide part in the form of a ridge (7) on one holder part and at least one guide part in the form of a sleeve (14) on the other holder part which accepts the ridge of the first part. The locking device consists of corresponding locking elements on the guide parts. At least one guide part has several ratchet-type elements along in the direction of displacement.
