Room temp.-hardening silicone foam prepn. - by squeezing one-component silicone compsn. and compressed gas mixt. out of valve-fitted bag

Previous patent disclosed the prepn. of a room temp. hardening silicone resin by mixing a 1-component silicone compsn., (A), with a low-boiling solvent, (B), and squeezing out of a bag, through a valve, by means of an applied surface pressure. In this patent the compsn. (A) is mixed, before squeezing out of bag, with a gas (I), under superatmos. pressure in addn. to or in place of (B). Compressed (I), pref. air or N2, is added to compsn. (A) by placing (A) in a bag of foil allowing the diffusion of (I) and storing, for a pre-determined period, e.g. 6 weeks, in a compartment or container contg. compressed (I), e.g. at 10 atmos. over-pressure. In a pref. process, the (A)-contg. bag is (i) placed ina 2-compartment pressure pack. (ii) Gas (I) is pressed into the space surrounding the bag as the medium exerting a pressure on bag wall. (iii) The filled 2-compartment pressure pack is stored before use for at least the pre-determined period.
