The sports or sport aid appts is supported on the wall of a hall, held by support stays to the wall and connected to flexible pull links for a transfer from an exercising position away from the wall to a raised rest position next to the wall. The pull links are guided on rollers positioned on the wall above the appts. with counter weights attached to the other ends of the pull links close to the wall and of a weight corresponding to that of the appts. The support stays are fitted with profile stays extending on the side of the apparatus from the wall towards the interior of the hall and at the same time inclined towards the floor. Guide shoes are held on the profile stays so that the friction resistance between the shoes and the profile stays is greater than the weight difference between the counter weight and the appts.
