The pressure vessel is intended for liquids, gases, granulated or pulverised material. It comprises a lining of foil material, e.g. one or more foil bags, which provides leak-tightness. The lining is contained in a structure which absorbs the mechanical forces and is built up of elements. The elements may consist of cylinder segments and top and bottom cloruse, which bottom could be a floor or the ground. The elements are connected by clamps and/or tied rods. Internal and/or external heat insulation may be provided, preferably consisting of foam elements.
