The system is particularly for the prodn. of cardboard contains with a sealing lining. The lining, shaped to a smaller diameter, is inserted in the sleeve and then expanded to the diameter of the latter and glued to it. Material such as aluminium, with very low elasticity, can be used for the lining. It can be inserted on an expanding mandrel. The corresponding device has a sleeve (2) holder (1) and a coaxial spreading mandrel (4), acting on the foil lining (9). The holder permits a certain degree of the sleeve movement, particularly in the radial direction.
