The commercial vehicle (1) comprises an upward extended cab (2), having a driver's compartment (4) separated from a sleeping compartment (6) above it by a horizontal partition (5) with access opening. the dome-shaped roof of the cab consists of two sections (7, 8) telescopically slidable relative to one another in opposite longitudinal directions. The roof sections are slidable in a horizontal frame (5) above the window area of the compartment. The joint (9) between the section may be in a transverse plane, whilst the rearward section (8) is fixed and the forward section (7) extendable in forward direction. One section (7) may have an extension with a window, exposed when in forward position.
