Straddle spirit level coarse circular level - mounted on fine tubular spirit level using cylindrical housing recess

A straddle spirit level adjustment device has a circular spirit level for coarse horizontal adjustment and a tube spirit level for fine adjustment of a rigidly attached base. It eliminates some of the setting time and fixing devices necessary for setting geodetic instruments etc. using conventional levelling equipment. For this purpose the two levels (20, 21) are rigidly fixed together at the point to be adjusted. The circular spirit level housing has a longitudinal cylindrically arched cutout section whose longitudinal axis is parallel to the level surface plane. The cylindrical cutout fits onto the tube level cylindrical housing (21), with which it is coaxial, centrally between two scale markings (24) on the tube.
