Disinfectant metering system - with metering pump controlled by timing pulse generator and actuated by water delivery pressure

A system for a metered admixture of a disinfectant to tap water for use in swimming baths and hospitals has the zero pressure admixture tank arranged between the intermediate water vessel and the main pump. A solenoid valve in the tap water supply line is controlled by a min. and max. level pickup in the admixture tank. The metering pump is controlled by a timing pulse generator during the open periods of the solenoid valve; this actuates another solenoid valve and admits water from the delivery of the main pump to drive the metering pump. This ensures a perfect mixt. of disinfectant and water and prevents the delivery of plugs of disinfectant separated by plugs of water. The metering rate is easy to adjust and to check.
