Free-space remote controls for HI=FI or TV - operates from adjoining rooms using main and slave remote control receivers

The remote control has its remote-control receiver in the equipment being controlled connected via cables to slave remote-control receivers. The slave remote-control receivers are in adjacent rooms and are controlled both via free-space and in local manual mode. The slave remote-control receivers are located in stereo loudspeaker boxes. The control signals from the slave remote-control receivers are sent to the master remote-control receiver in the hi-fi equipment via the loudspeaker cables after suitable decoupling. The hi-fi equipment (or television receiver) can therefore be controlled from adjoining rooms.
