Reference control reagent for the haematological multiple analysis and method for its production

Method of preparing a hematology reference control only to monitor the accuracy of measurements of conventional hematological and platelet parameters, comprising: A) preparing a stabilized platelet suspension human or animal blood; B) obtaining a reference control conventional hematology whole blood including red blood cells in a suspension medium; C) mixing the suspension of stabilized platelets and reference control with a mixture of urea and sodium chloride or the like salt selected so that it is compatible with hematological mixture components during a predetermined time; and D) allowing the resulting suspension to stabilize for about 48 hours, said urea being present at least one normally detrimental concentrations for the stability and integrity of erythrocyte not producing said urea concentration detrimental effects so that the parameters red cells and platelets are generally stable and approximately identical to those occurring in mammalian blood specimens.
