Protective hood for refuse skip lorry - has frame members slidable and pivotable to extend net over top, sides and rear of skip

The protective hood is intended for a lorry used for transporting an open refuse skip. It comprises a retractable framework supporting a nylon net. A motor driven in one direction extends the framework so that the net covers the sides, top and rear of the skip and in the other direction, collapses the frame to provide full access. The framework comprises a rearwardly projecting pivotably articulated assembly and a forward assembly over the loading deck of the lorry. The latter assembly consists of parallel slidable frame elements of which the one at the rear carries the pivot for the assembly.
