The gas-heated domestic baking oven has a branch pipe from a main one supplying a burner and a pilot flame igniting the burner. Inside the oven is a thermostat controlling a two-position solenoid valve in the main pipe downstream of the branch pipe union. The valve opens when the temp. falls in the oven below the thermostat setting, and shuts when it rises bove this setting. This arrangement ensures a complete burning of the gases in all operating modes. It can opeate at low temp. levels.
