Single vane centrifugal pump - has conical interval between vane and casing on inlet side

The single-vane centrifugal pump is for handling viscous materials and particularly those containing solid particles. The vane extends in a screw pattern into the inlet branch on a conical hub, the diameter of the rotor being less at the inlet than at the outlet. On the inlet side, part of the interval (g) between the external surface of the vane (3) and the internal surface of the pump casing (1) is conical. The width of the conical part of the interval is more than half the thickness (d) of the vane, and the cone angle (e) of the inclined part of the interval is between 15 and 40 deg.
