Pressure relief valve with flexible closing element - has sealing surface layer on element to prevent control gas diffusion

The closing element for the pressure valve is controlled by a standing gas pressure. The element is made from an elastic formable material and the control gas is in a separate pressure system from the main inlet/outlet. Diffusion of the control gas is reduced or eliminated without increase of valve size. The closing element (5) has an elastic, formable facing laye r (11) to prevent the diffusion from the control gas chamber to the through flow chamber. The layer is a combination of several superimposed molecular layers and its flexibility is governed by that of the element itself. The layer can be of plastic or metal and can be dipped, sprayed or galvanized using a graphite conducting layer.
